Keep Kicking Lady Mavs!
Lady Mavs varsity soccer has always been strong. This season, with the team halfway through district, they have met the standard.
Their most recent game against Round Rock was a setback when they lost 1-3, but the team continues to push on.
Throughout the season, some major highlights so far include the hard fought battle with Eastview, winning the district opener 1-0 against Stony Point, and winning the district game 3-0 against Pflugerville.
“This season is going pretty well,” junior Madison Kinser said. “I love the new coach. Soccer is awesome in general. We do need to step it up, but we aren’t doing bad.”
With a balanced number of wins and loses, the Lady Mavs vows to play even better.
“We need more communication on the field,” sophomore Cara Courtney said. “The season is going halfway, about 50/50, but we definitely want to win the next game. We have the confidence.”
