The wrestling team has started out its season with some impressive results.

The Mavericks placed 16th out of 42 in the San Antonio Charger Classic meet while the Lady Mavericks placing 11th out of 42.This took the team as a whole to an overall place of 11th.

Carrying the boy’s team was Bradley Wright in third place, with 22 points; Tyler Barker in fourth place, earning 18 points; and CJ Hernandez, finishing Top 10 with 8 points.

Also supporting the team’s ranking was Kyle Owen with 2 points, Jonathan Alvarez with 4  points, Michael Wolfryd with 1 point, Kenneth Robinson with 2 points, Cachje Giles with 6  points, Jaran Rudd with 3 points, and Tyrique Fields with 2 points.

For the Lady Mavs, Kathleen Hartman placed fourth with 19 points, along with Bryce Matthews, also fourth with 18 points, and Ruthie Wolfryd with a Top 8 Finish scored 11 points. Additionally,  Emily Evans scored 3 points and Emily Hall, 7 points.
