Kill Me Quick, I Hate This Song

Nathan Sykes’ new single ‘Kiss Me Quick’ falters on multiple levels

"Kiss me Quick" Is the new single for Nathan Sykes's upcoming album.

“Kiss me Quick” Is the new single for Nathan Sykes’s upcoming album.

Nathan Sykes, a former member of the British-Irish boy band The Wanted, recently released his new single Kiss Me Quick. The song focused on his inability to flirt, thus resulting in him using sexual appeal to attract women.

While his vocals were somewhat pleasing, it was nothing new. Emerging artists in the pop music industry seem to be morphing into a single voice. Listeners can’t tell if the song is Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, or just in time for another fad. Kiss Me Quick features a boring mix of overused song lyrics, terrible instrumental construction, and nothing original. If this is a promotion of his new album, then there is nothing really worth looking forward to.

In all honestly, The Wanted would better suit him in the music industry. With a mix of different vocals, Sykes seemed to shine. His vocals synchronized with Max George (lead vocalist of the band) and created a unique musical appeal. The Wanted is a well-rounded group consisting of a great compilation of songs. Glad You Came, Chasing The Sun, and I Found You, were some of the hits of 2013.

Kiss Me Quick, is only a new single, there maybe more songs on his album that just might win more fans over.
