The story of St. Nicholas has a strong place in history even though a lot of his story is unconfirmed. St Nicholas was raised by wealthy parents who raised him to be a dedicated Christian, he gave away his inheritance to the un-wealthy, sick and ones in need. He was known to be a true miracle worker and was heard from all across Europe for showing his compassion for the ones in need, children and concern for sailors and ships. All over Europe different countries have adopted the story of St. Nicholas. According to CNN, the Netherlands has Sinterklaas. Father Christmas gives gifts in Great Britain and Père Noël does the same in France. In Germany, St. Nicholas has had many names including Klaasbuur, Burklaas, Rauklas, Bullerklaas and Sunnercla. In the United States, the Dutch Sinterklaas evolved into Santa Claus.
