The Ultimate Frisbee team is holding their first practice on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at 4:30 p.m. at the practice soccer fields.
The Ultimate team attended the state championships in April 2024 and placed fifth. They have placed fifth in the state in the last four years at the state competition. The Ultimate Frisbee Team competes as a coed team, being open to any grade, gender, or athletic ability. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come attend the practices held every Wednesday after school.
Senior Captain Andy Zhou has led the team for three years.
“It is not a big commitment but definitely a fun one,” Zhou said.
Junior Cormac Edmond, a player on the Ultimate team who has been on the team for two years, is looking forward to his third year on the team.
“Frisbee is a very fun way to exercise and you get to learn new skills as well as hang out with your friends,” Edmond said. “I want to get back into the groove since it has been a while since I’ve played.”
There is no type of tryout to be a part of the Ultimate team. For more information, reach out to the Ultimate Sponsor Mark Romano (Astronomy and Aquatic Science Teacher).
