Early voting starts Oct. 21, where registered voters can visit the Performing Arts Center to fill in their ballots before the rush of election day.
Many students will be voting for the first time this election year, as registered voters must be at least 17 years and ten months old to submit their voter registration application and must be 18 by Election Day on Nov. 5.
“I’ve registered to vote, I’m going to vote early because it shows you’re prepared and especially lets you get [voting] out of the way,” senior Riley White said. “It really encourages students to vote and get out there and give their political opinion to the world since there should be more youth representation in the political scene.”
To vote early on Oct. 21, voters must bring an acceptable form of photo ID. For more information on accepted photo IDs or registering to vote, visit this website.
