Track and field competes in 13-6A District Meet

Despite the uncertain start to the District 13 6-A track meet, held back by delays for a storm in the area, the track team competed on April 11 and 12 at Pflugerville High School for the chance to advance to the next stage, Area.

The varsity boys took fourth overall. The 4x100m placed sixth, the 4x200m placed fourth, and the 4x400m relay won.

Also, eight boys scored points in their individual events:

Tyler Tyrell (10)- fourth in the 100m dash

Justin Hernandez (12)- first in the 400m dash, sixth in triple jump

Jaden Maul (10)- third in the 800m dash

Reed Hartle (11)- fifth in the 110m hurdles, fifth in high jump, and second in the 300m hurdles

A.J. Dillett (12)- third in the 300m hurdles

Gunnar Farris (12)-  second in discus

Aden Arrington (11)- second in pole vault

Ravon Davis-Conway (10)- second in triple jump

The varsity girls team was the district runner-up. All three relays placed third.

On the girls end, fifteen runners placed in the top six in their individual events to contribute to the overall score:

Maya Bullard- fifth in the 100m dash

Kaymon Clark- sixth in the 200m dash

Faith Tormusa-Koroma- first in the 100m hurdles

Sierra Hammond- sixth in the 400m dash

Haley Birt- second in the 800m dash, fourth in pole vault

Larissa Herold- fourth in the 800m dash

Maddie Marrone- first in the 1600m run, first in the 3200m run

Abbey Hobbs- fourth in the 1600m run

Julia Perry- fourth in the 100m hurdles, fourth in the 300m hurdles, fifth in triple jump

Rozlyne Manor- fifth in the 100m hurdles, third in the 300m hurdles

Anaya Carter- sixth in triple jump

Summer Dayton- fourth in shot put, fourth in discus

Elisha Franklin- fifth in shot put, fifth in discus

Kali Garrett- sixth in high jump

Katelyn Kalina- second in pole vault

The relays and individuals who placed in the top four advance to the District 13-14 Area Meet in Marble Falls this Wednesday.
