Volleyball Strikes Out Again
The girls Varsity Volleyball team suffered a loss against Round Rock 3-0 on Sept. 21. This marks the fourth game in a row lost. The team is currently 13-9 overall in the district.
Junior Kalli Wootten didn’t feel they performed as well as they should have.
“I felt we played down and didn’t work together as a team,” Wootten said. “I felt that they outplayed us and had really good defense.”
The varsity volleyball team may have lost against Round Rock but McNeil did not go down without a fight. Coach Dejute was disappointed with her team’s performance yet hopeful to change that.
“I was not happy with the way we played last night,” Dejute said. “We came out slow and flat. I did like the fight I saw in set three. It was a bit late. We will be focusing on increasing the intensity of our practices in hopes that will transfer to the court come next game.”
The team’s next game will be played away against Cedar Ridge on Sep. 28.
