Both varsity girls and boys golf earned top five places at multiple events across Texas, with individuals also earning top five slots. Golf competed in events such as the San Antonio Clark invitational, Alamo Heights Championship, and Liberty Hill Invitational. 

Varsity girls golf placed fourth at the San Antonio Clark invitational, senior Abby Whittenburg placing fifth individually with contributions from seniors Emma Sofia Arrigucci, Kate Won, and sophomores Lainey Mican and Emma Wood.

“Everyone’s improving this year, so we are really starting to place higher,” said Whittenburg. “I think we all feel prepared for the next season in the spring. Our goal is to do well at districts and hopefully move to regionals.” 

Varsity boys golf placed 2nd at the Alamo Heights Championship as well as obtaining a 1st at the Liberty Hill Invitational with contributions from seniors Aarav Sahasrabudhe, Zeke Mieskoski and Luke Patti, and junior Mark Lee.

“Training is going great, we got an awesome coach who’s been able to help us out through everything,” said Mieskoski. “[Coach Hoover] has been a big piece of why I’m in the golf program today.”
