New Water Park Slides into Pflugerville Spring 2014
In the summer of 2013, the city of Pflugerville announced a new water park would be opening in the area. The Hawaiian Falls Waterpark is set to open this spring. Hawaiian Falls will be on the southwest corner of SH 130 and FM 685, across from Hendrickson High School.
The city expects to earn lots of money, as 300,000 guests are expected each year. This location will be the largest in Texas, and an adventure park will be included, too. Special prices for tickets and season passes are offered to those who live in Pflugerville.
With the season passes attendees can enter all five parks in Texas, enter the park a little bit earlier than everyone else, and receive special coupons on food and gift items. Pass holders can also enter free on Friday Night slides, where the park stays open until 10 p.m. for people to ride the slides in the dark. Friday Night slide is an additional $5 and admission into the park is about $30 per person for non-season pass holders.
Hawaiian Falls makes extra money by charging to bring in outside food, therefore forcing
people to buy their food and drinks or make the long trek to their car. Although, you can buy a season pass to bring your own cooler in, for yet another fee.
The waterpark is similar to Schlitterbahn with their rides/slides: the usual loop slides, wave pool, and a ‘playground’ that has places to get soaked, but the park is smaller.
However, the park will be closer than Schlitterbahn, or any other waterpark, making Hawaiian Falls a popular and successful water park.
