Why School Lunch Should Be Free For Everyone

School lunch should be free for every student in every school because it has many benefits to health, energy and nutrition.

A lot of kids do not know where their next meal is coming from. If school lunch was free, those kids could feel the comfort of knowing that they would at least be able to have a proper lunch and proper nutrition for the school day. If every kid was able to have free lunch it would potentially improve overall behavior in and out of the classroom. If every student was able to have the ability to have lunch for free everyone would know that they would at least be getting a healthy and nutritious meal.

If school lunch was free for every child then the children that get school lunch for free would not feel embarrassed or ashamed if someone found out that they get free lunch. They would not have to worry about being embarrassed if someone finds out that they have a lower income so the school provides them free lunch.

If lunch for kids at school was free then that would also eliminate lunch debt. Lunch debt is when students don’t have enough money to pay for their lunches. If the students have too much lunch debt then the school could possibly stop providing their lunches because they do not have the ability to pay it back.
