The varsity softball team dominated a majority of pre-District games including the Georgetown Tournament only to fall on hard times once district play rolled around. The season drew to a close with a highlight, though, as the the girls beat Hendrickson in front of a home crowd on Senior Night.
Senior McKenzie Jones played right field and was a part of softball at McNeil for four years. “We practiced every day,” Jones said. “We never got a day off. I feel like everyone on the team has improved as a player.”
