Boys’ LAX Ends Regular Season, Advances to Playoffs

The boys’ lacrosse regular season ended April 22 with a score of 16-11 beating Georgetown. This game had been rescheduled from April 2 to April 22 due to the Eagle’s field being used by soccer.

The boys only lost one district game and now they have entered playoffs.

“It is an awesome feeling making it to the playoffs. We have worked really hard to achieve all we have,” junior Matthew Romere said.

“I have been on varsity all four years and this is the farthest we have gone in playoffs,” senior Austin Whitlow said.

Their first game was on April 25 against Westlake.Unfortunately they lost 8-7, but they did not let this dampen their spirits. McNeil won their second game of playoffs against Dripping Springs with a score of 16-7.

“The game went great. We beat them and are on our road to state,” freshman Matthew Lutz said. “The best thing about playing was showing them up since they beat us the first time we played them. It is great being a freshman on varsity because I’m playing at the hardest level. I love the game. I love the hustle.”

The boys competed May 2-3 in Dallas.
