RRISD Cheer tryouts for the 2024-2025 season will happen the weekend after Spring Break. Candidates are required to attend a campus meeting either on Jan. 31 or Feb. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. The week before tryouts, candidates are required to attend after-school seasons on Tuesday and Wednesday with an optional one on Thursday where current senior cheerleaders will teach the tryout materials. Tryouts consist of running tumbling, jumps, standing tumbling, a cheer, dance and specific schools’ fight songs.
