LEADING MVP CANDIDATES
As of current, the leading MVP candidates in the NBA are 76ers Center Joel Embid who is averaging 35.1 points per game, Denver Nuggets Center Nikola Jokic who is averaging 25.5 points per game and Oklahoma City Point Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who is averaging 31.0 points per game. Joel Embid won the MVP last year and it is still in question if he can make it back-to-back. The Minnesota Timberwolves are the best team in the Western Conference which was not expected with their record of 30-11. Another surprise is the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are second in the Western Conference with a record of 28-13.

The Detroit Pistons are the worst team in the league who currently have a 28-game losing streak and are 4-37.
