College Basketball National Championship Recap

The Uconn Huskies are the first team to go back to back in the National Championship since the Florida Gators in 2006 and 2007. The Huskies finished this season with an outstanding record of 37-3 W taking down the player of the year Zach Edey, the center for the Purdue Boilermakers. The Huskies ranked near the top in every category which was just too much for any team to handle.

The Huskies took down the Boilermakers 75-60 W in an easy coasting 2024 National Championship making the Huskies back-to-back champions. The Huskies have now won six National Championships in total and are still looking for more with an outstanding team returning next year.

The previous year the Huskies took down San Diego State in the 2023 National Championship which was their first one of the back-to-back. Their opponent this year, the Purdue Boilermakers, still had a great season finishing 34-5 W on the year. Their superstar center Edey scored 37 points and had 10 rebounds ending an impressive season.

It was an exciting March Madness no matter who you cheered for, especially if you were hoping for the 11-seed NC State, who managed to pull off and shock some big teams such as Marquette and Duke.

Now that this season has concluded, we wait for next year and see if Uconn can make it back-to-back-to-back or if it will be another big-name school or a complete surprise. Just wait and find out!
