Talent Show Fundraiser for JROTC Slated for Feb. 7

JROTC will host a talent show Feb. 7 from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. in the cafeteria, with auditions set for Jan. 23-24 after school in the cafeteria.

“This as an opportunity for students to get to know each other and see the talent we have,” Vice Commander, Cadet Lt. Col. Karen Johnson said.

Audition slots are filling up fast; prospective participants need to sign up with ROTC in room G173.

Tickets for the show will cost $2 for students, $3 for adults, and children under the age of 10 will get in free. There will also be a snack bar.

All proceeds benefit the JROTC program.

Johnson has invited three talent agencies to come and the Zephyr Talent Agency has already confirmed their attendance.

Judges for the performance will be dance instructor Megan Liles, choir director Susan McCormick and theater teacher Aaron Johnson.

First place will receive $100, second place will receive $75, and third place will receive $50 for each person in the winning group.

The talent show will be completely planned and executed by cadets, as are all JROTC events.
