Region Band Successes
Band students competed in Region Band with 31 students making it into Region band and a record 13 students advanced to Area Auditions where they will have the chance to audition for All-State.
“I had a higher motivation this year to place in anything, due to not doing as well as I would have liked last year,” sophomore Dade Ogunmuyiwa said. “I found that taking private lessons really helped me succeed in advancing this year.”
Ogunmuyiwa made Region Concert and advanced to Area.
The band students prepared for these auditions for months.
“It was so stressful,” sophomore Miranda Contello said. “I didn’t advance, but the experience was a lot of fun.”
The Region Band students will continue practicing for their upcoming performances.
