Fun Activities To Do This Holiday Season
Winter break is right around the corner and there are many things to do in the cold weather besides staying inside all day. Here’s a list of fun activities happening in Austin that are perfect for celebrating the holidays this year.

Austin Trail of Lights
One of the best parts of Winter time is seeing the different unique Christmas lights and decorations. Zilker Park offers visitors the chance to walk through over 2 million lights Dec. 8-23. General admission tickets are up to $5. The activity offers free admission and it’s an easy way to get out of the house with the whole family this holiday season.

Chaparral Ice
There is no better time to put on some ice skates than now with winter coming up. At Chaparral Ice Northcross in Austin, visitors can sign up for a public skate session for some fun on the ice for $11.09. This is a fun outing opportunity for friends and family, and can even become a new-found hobby for visitors.

Ballet Austin’s The Nutcracker production
Sometimes it’s nice to sit back and enjoy a story. Ballet Austin’s 60th annual production of The Nutcracker is running from Dec. 3-23 at The Long Center for the Performing Arts for $15-$155 depending on the location of the seats. The Nutcracker is a classic holiday ballet act that’s entertaining and perfect for getting everyone in the holiday spirit.

The Domain Holiday Tree Light Show
The Domain is hosting its annual Holiday Tree Light Show for free from Nov. 19 to Dec. 25. The light show happens hourly, so there will be an opportunity for everyone to catch a glimpse of the beautiful lights. This can be a relaxing break during present shopping this year.
