Strawberry Shortcake Frappuccino 10/10
Though most people assume this would be too similar to the Strawberry Creme Frappuccino, it is arguably very different. The strawberry syrup layered with toppings and cream flavoring create a perfect and ideal Valentine’s treat. Though this drink is slightly more sweet than some people’s preference, it is perfect for others.
Valentines Day Cake Pop 8/10
Though there is nothing particularly bad about this item, there is also nothing outstanding. It is a simple vanilla cake pop batter with red colored fondant. It is undeniably Valentine’s themed, but doesn’t stand out as a new item on the menu.
Cookie Croissant Swirl 9/10
Fluffy, buttery croissant base, with chocolate and cinnamon flavors. A great balance of sweetness and buttery flavors. The chocolate is extremely rich and can get slightly sickening after a while, however, the first bite is unforgettable. Though it’s not stereotypically a Valentine’s related item, it’s undeniably a tasty dessert.
Yuzu Citrus Blossom 8/10
A light, soft pastry with a citrus jam filling. The jam is almost lemon tasting, extremely tart and flavorful. The flaky pastry itself is sweet and overall yummy by itself, and with the additional filling it makes this treat even more relevant. Though this is another slightly abnormal treat regarding Valentine’s concepts, it is different than most other things found on the menu. This item introduces an entirely new flavor into the Starbucks menu, earning it a higher rating simply for significance.
Chocolate Pistachio Loaf
This is a new featured item on the menu, introducing a sweet nutty flavor to go along with a soft loaf slice. While Starbucks previously offered a few very simple loafs, the two released in this drop have brought entirely new flavors to the Starbucks menu.
Dubai Chocolate Bites
This item joins the menu and has many people intrigued, after Dubai Chocolate took pop-culture for a ride, Starbucks adding this to the menu has people all the more excited. The Dubai chocolate itself features a pistachio flavored cream and kataifi, a crunchy shredded dough.
Strawberry Matcha Loaf 10/10
Very flavorful and arguably a staple piece for this new drop. This item features a soft airy matcha flavored bread, with a swirl of strawberry flavor and strawberry cream icing lining the top of the bread. This item is sweet and delicious as far as bread goes. The two flavors pair brilliantly creating a perfect holiday item.
White Chocolate Strawberry Cream Cold Brew 6/10
This drink item gets entirely too undesirable after a few sips. From the start, it is a chocolate covered strawberry coffee, with strong flavors of sweetness and refreshment. Towards the end though, the combination of the two flavors grows tangy and almost bitter. This drink may be perfect for a size Tall or Grande, but anything larger grows far too unenjoyable very quickly.
