School Assistance Fund Set Up to Give Help to Struggling Students

A new Assistance Fund has been established to give immediate help to struggling students attending McNeil.

The fund was set up in an effort to provide financial assistance to students in need of various types of support on an “as needed” basis. The types of support can range from providing money for meals, test registration, health issues, gas and much more. Qualified students will receive this assistance through a system of referrals and approvals for funds.

The fund account will survive solely on donations from individuals, who can take their donations to the front office bookkeeper, Lisa Zacarias.

There will be future school-wide opportunities for participation with helping to fund the account that will be announced at a later date.
