Fall Finals Exemptions
Fall semester finals are next week and exemption forms have been sent out from McNeil Master accordingly. Students can exempt three classes in which they have an average of 85 or above and less than five absences. Next semester, the same classes cannot be exempted, even if every requirement is met. STAAR EOC subjects (English I, English II, Biology, Algebra I and US History) are not eligible for exemption this semester.
Students can check their emails for the Google form and which exams they are allowed to be excused from. It must be filled out by Tuesday, Dec. 8, by 5 p.m., or selections won’t count. Teachers will then approve or deny exemptions, and students will be notified on Friday, Dec. 11.
Reminder: Attendance is still counted during final exams. Failure to show up to class, whether you have exempted or not, will result in a retake by Jan. 22.
