Starbucks recently released its spring launch on March 5. The release brought the returning Iced Lavender Cream Oat Milk Matcha, Iced Lavender Oat Milk Latte and Lavender Creme Frappuccino Blended Beverage and a new Iced Cherry Chai. As well as a new Jalapeño Chicken Pocket.
Iced Cherry Chai
The new Iced Cherry Chai, is a regular chai topped with cherry cold foam. The flavor is sweeter than anticipated, often with cherry flavoring having an artificial medicine like taste, the cherry cold foam does not have that signature taste, instead offering a sweet floral-like flavor. Paired with the signature Chai this offers a sweet and savory taste.
Lavender Oat Milk Matcha
Lavender flavoring returns to Starbucks following the positive feedback from last year, the sweet floral taste is available in a powder form and that offers a creamy texture in the Lavender Cold Foam that tops the Iced Lavender Oat Milk Matcha, although it should be stated the drink is not dairy free, as the cold foam is made with sweet cream.
Iced Lavender Oat Milk Latte
The Iced Lavender Oat Milk Latte has the powder dissolved in Blonde Espresso, the drink has a sweeter flavor paired with a nutty taste from the oatmilk that nicely blends in the cold drink.
Lavender Crème Frappuccino Blended Beverage
The Frappuccino involves no coffee flavoring, instead of the Classic syrup usually included in the crème frappuccinos, this drink substitutes it with vanilla syrup. Although the Lavender flavor is subtle it still blends well with the vanilla for a nice spring time drink.
Jalapeño Chicken Pocket
The new food menu item, although including jalapeño, is not that spicy, the portion is semi small, with 11 grams of protein and includes chicken, green jalapeños and four different cheeses combined.
