Floral Design students helped make a 28-foot-long mum. The mum took 40 hours to make. The project was finished on Thursday, Oct 19. The mum is hung in the middle of the main mall.
“It took about 40 hours to make the entire mum and it was close to 300 feet of butcher paper, 1200 sheets of tissue paper, 4000 coffee filters and then a whole seven-pound box of glue sticks.” Floral Design teacher Meagan Crandall said. “It was fun but also stressful watching it go up on the ceiling and hoping it didn’t come crashing down. It was a lot of effort but the kids had a vision and they were able to pull it together to make the little Mav head on top.”
