The PTSA’s annual Reflections art contest has announced this year’s theme, Accepting Imperfections before announcing the due date for artwork submissions, a move that the PTSA hopes will give artists extra brainstorming time for their art.
“It’s always amazing to see how uniquely students approach the open-ended theme and submit artwork that reflects on their life,” Reflections Chair Priya Arunkumar said. “We live in a society where we celebrate perfectionism. Most students feel unrelenting pressure to attain this ‘perfect’ goal. This year, I hope students embrace the idea that they’re perfect just as they are.”
