Gina Hinojosa is the new theater teacher at McNeil. She was hired a couple weeks into the school year. “I was offered a few teaching jobs in different parts of Texas that for some reason just didnt feel like they were the right moves for me,” Hinajosa said. “As cliche as it sounds, I had decided that the offers didnt feel right and for some reason had a feeling that something else was going to pop up even though we were a week into the new school year and that is a very unlikely thing to happen. The morning I declined my offers, a friend whos also new to Round Rock ISD told me about the McNeil position and what they were looking for. I just thought, ‘theres no way.’”
